The Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Promise extends college offerings to Utah residents who wish to obtain a degree but may not see a financial path forward. SLCC will begin waiving tuition and fees for resident students with a full academic workload and significant financial needs. To qualify, applicants must fill out the FAFSA and be awarded a Pell Grant. They are required to take a full course load of 12 to 18 credit hours and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students must also meet with an advisor to develop a two-year degree plan. The assistance may be used in any of the college’s academic programs. The above information is taken from the Program’s website.
