The Richmond Promise program will support Richmond students in pursuing a higher education through academic, social, and financial support. The Richmond Promise is intended to assist Richmond residents in pursuing higher education and securing meaningful employment, including pursuing careers in research and development, engineering, and renewable energy fields. The Richmond Promise program was initiated by the Environmental and Community Investment Agreement (ECIA) which the City negotiated with Chevron in 2014.
