The Hathaway Scholarship program is designed to provide an incentive for Wyoming students to prepare for and pursue post-secondary education within the state of Wyoming. The program consists of four separate merit scholarships, each with specific eligibility requirements, and a need-based scholarship for eligible students that supplements the merit awards. The top two tiers of the program (Honors and Performance) can cover the average cost of tuition and fees at a Wyoming community college. While the other award levels (Oppurtunity and Provisional) may not cover the full price of tuition, they do lessen the burden of financing an advanced degree.
