The East County Education Alliance was established in 2014 for students who graduate from schools in the Grossmont Union High School District. This program provides different services to enhance the college pipeline and encourage students to attend Grossmont College or Cuyamaca College. Additionally, the alliance created the Higher Edge Promise Scholarship to better prepare high school students to be college and career-ready, which will be open to high school graduates from Grossmont Union High School District starting with the class of 2019. This program will fund a student’s first 30 credits at Grossmont or Cuyamaca College and provide extra support services, such as counseling.
